Products Overview

Products
A range of high quality and controlled ceramic materials. Measured and controlled using our own in-house chemical and particle size analysis. Variation of chemistry or particle size parameters to suit customer requirements is our speciality. All laboratory state of the art and installed in 2009.

White Fused Mullite
A high quality White Fused Mullite with extensive use in the production of ceramic shells and cores for precision casting. Additional applications in the production of steel, glass and ceramic refractories. Produced from electrofusion of Bayer process calcined alumina with selected low iron silica flour.

CerMull - Sintered Mullite
Produced from high temperature sintering of Bayer process calcined alumina with selected low alkali kaolin. Major phases identified by X-Ray Diffraction as mullite with traces of glass and corundum. Mullite - the most stable phase of the alumino-silicate system, is found rarely in nature and is inevitably subject to contamination from other rock formations and contaminants. Synthetic mullite enables complete control of the chemistry and physical properties promoting complete control of the final ceramic system.

Magnesia products
CerMag FC Range Electrofused Magnesia derived from an optimum blend of synthetic seawater derived magnesia and natural Magnesite.
A range of chemistry is available for applications including technical ceramics, dental investments, refractories and electrical insulators. Available in free-flowing granules, powders or air classified micron sizes. We produce application-specific grades of Fused Magnesia with different properties.
